Shadow Study

This section presents the potential for the proposed project to cast new shadows on sunlight- sensitive resources, including publicly-accessible parks, plazas and playgrounds, sunlight- dependent features of historic resources, and natural resources.

The proposed development would engulf an estimated 513 acres of surrounding area in long shadows,  including large parts of East River Esplanade, Cherry Tree Park, Blake Hobbs Playground, Stanley Isaacs Playground, and some parts of Central Park, Normandie Court Plaza, Harlem RBI and Samuel Seabury Playground.
